THE JOURNEY OF A LINE
"A line is a dot that went for a walk." — Paul Klee
Drawing has been an essential part of my life as an artist, sculptor, and ceramicist. Throughout decades of creating, teaching, and researching art, I have discovered that drawing is much more than a technique—it is a way of observing, exploring, and connecting with the world around us.
A few years ago, I discovered the Zentangle® Method and was immediately captivated by its simplicity, beauty, and accessibility. Inspired by its creative potential, I completed the official Zentangle Teacher Training Program in Providence, Rhode Island, earning my certification as a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) directly from the founders, Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts.
Since then, I have never stopped drawing.
What began on paper soon expanded into my ceramic work, sculptures, and mixed-media creations. The patterns, rhythms, and mindful approach of Zentangle continue to inspire my artistic practice and reinforce a belief I have always held: everyone can draw.
No Experience Needed
My classes are designed for both experienced artists and those who believe they "can't draw."
You do not need artistic talent, previous training, or special skills. Through simple, guided steps, participants discover that creativity is already within them.
The Zentangle Method transforms basic lines and patterns into beautiful works of art while encouraging relaxation, focus, and self-confidence. Many students find the process calming, meditative, and deeply rewarding.
More Than a Drawing Class
In my classes and workshops, I combine the Zentangle Method with my lifelong experience as a professional artist and educator.
One of my favorite workshop titles, The Journey of a Dot, is inspired by the words of Swiss artist Paul Klee. Starting with a single dot and a few simple lines, we gradually create unique and surprising compositions. Along the way, participants discover not only new artistic skills but also the joy of slowing down, paying attention, and enjoying the creative process.
Each drawing becomes a personal journey—one that celebrates curiosity, mindfulness, and the pleasure of making art.
Whether you are looking for a creative outlet, a way to reduce stress, or simply the joy of learning something new, I invite you to join me.
Let's draw together.
